President's Corner  by Ed "Buckle" Fitzgerald

Golly, it doesn’t seem like it has been a week already, since the convention, but its history now.  I heard a lot of good comments regarding alley 85’s hospitality and how well we did in hosting the event.  Mr. Rainbow and Mr. Puppet were very entertaining and informative in there respective fields.

I am glad we offered a few alternative classes as in the field of marketing and finance.  I hope everyone took advantage of these.  I was very PROUD of the job you all did pitching in to produce the best convention ever!!

We don’t have all the figures in yet but it looks like we made a profit somewhere between one dollar and one million dollars, these are rough estimates so don’t quote me.  The committee will let everyone know how we did when we get the final figures in.

The Alley has a lot of stuff coming up so I hope all of you can attend the meeting this month.  It’s easier to make decisions in the Alleys behalf if we have more than one or two opinions about how to proceed.

The elections are coming up so please consider serving your Alley by becoming an official; it isn’t a lot of “work”.  I have always thought of it as a fun responsibility, and it gives us an opportunity to “work” with our friends deciding what, where, and when we can Clown as a group.

Alley 85 has to decide what to do for our Christmas party and we need to discuss the awards we will be giving out in December.  Come out to the meeting, we’ll try and keep it short so we have more time for socializing and for our program.
