President's Corner 2 WEEKS!!! That’s how much time we have. Actually it will be less by the time you read this. Sept 27, that’s when all our planning and preparation will be on display. I sure hope we haven’t forgotten anything. I know the Alley and T C A can count on everyone pitching in to make this a GREAT convention. Well, for those of you who missed the last meeting, we had a HOT time at the church. No one who was there will argue with that. Alley 85 had three quarters of those attending performing in front of the group; it was a fitting tribute to Hubba-Hubba. Everyone there had a fun time: those watching and the performers had fun, too. I’m sorry more did not attend so they could see how talented some of our members are. Well, I better go. I hope to see all of you at the meeting on the 19th and at the TCA 2006 Convention “Over the Rainbow”. Bump-a-nose, Buckle WOW!!! You should see all the great stuff that DooWat has collected for the TCA Convention goody bags. It would be a great help for Alley 85 members to come early (at 6:30) to the September 19th meeting to help stuff all this “stuff” into the goody bags. |

| Dan Cutchen presents Music, Motion & Other Marvelous Bits of Insanity Dan Cutchen is an exciting performer who blends music and drama, both humorous and serious, to present stories from the Bible and other sources. He also utilizes rock, pop, folk, jazz and classical music to entertain audiences that range from preschool to retirement homes. His use of synthesizer, acoustic and electric guitars enhance his original musical dramas and compositions, which cover an impressive array of musical styles. When Dan performs his wackiness, it's....well, it's wacky. You will see famous and interesting stories acted out. Animals and strange creatures are made out of balloons. You'll find yourself singing silly songs. A cat named Ralph, who unfortunately looks like a chicken (But he's a short-haired cat!!), usually shows up. He makes things disappear and reappear, he gets people to do silly things, he jiggles while he juggles, he goofs up and he performs optical illusions! He's a lot FUN! . |

Iknow it's been awhile since he's been to a meeting. I don't know if the Alley realizes this, but Dave is fighting pancreatic cancer, He's doing fairly well but he undergoes 6 days of intravenous chemo every month with 1 to 1.5 weeks recouperation; he also takes 2 chemo drugs orally daily and gets another iv chemo everyother Tuesday. Needless to say, he isn't up to clowning around at the present time. I look forward to having him feel well enough to clown again in the future.
